Project: At Winter's End​​

“Lake” was challenging to design because it made me critically think about how to make the most of the canvas size I had to work with, and how to use that space to make an image seem larger or deeper than it actually is. “Lake” is the home of a large spirit with a caring and boisterous personality, and we wanted to reflect that in their home environment by making it large but also peaceful. 

Working on this piece helped me learn a lot about how to space out different elements and communicate size and scale through spacing and object placement, both relative to themselves and the canvas as a whole.
