Project: At Winter's End​​

During early production for At Winter’s End, our narrative designer gave us a list of spirits and their descriptions to work off of while concepting in order to iron out an art style for these characters, as well as common design elements each one should have. I wanted the spirits to feel more supernatural and less like animals to clearly differentiate them from regular animals, in case we wanted to add animals to the setting. I also explored the idea of the spirits being born from items the protagonist left behind in the forest to portray the connection between them, as that was a focal point of the narrative.
